Midsummer Night's Dream

Draper

This was a challenging project. It was made to be a traveling show for high schools. It needed to last several months on the road without a wardrobe crew. The director wanted it to look like a storybook came to life. So we hand dyed Tyvek and flat lined it with cotton. It was then lined and piped with a similar colored cotton. We were very concerned about perforation. At the end the actors wrote on the costumes with matching colored Sharpies (the set also had writing on it). They Tyvek costumes went over a base costume that was washed.

It did look like a colored pencil illustration came to life!
